What is “We Love Lucy”?
“We Love Lucy” is a documentary short detailing the legacy and lasting fanbase of Lucille Ball and “I Love Lucy.” We follow Judith Edlund’s relationship with the sitcom from a young age, and through her tell a story involving the ways in which “I Love Lucy” impacted her growing up. We go on to tell the stories of other people who were greatly impacted by “I Love Lucy,” and ultimately try to understand the magic behind a show that has lasted so far beyond it’s time.
Who They Are?

Judith Edlund is a Chicago and New York based actor. Her New York debut was in Stephen Brown-Fried’s production of O restes at The New School for Drama. Her artistic career defies what a traditional actor would do. She is a fashion enthusiast and photographer. She is currently the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator for startup Fashion Company called DENIMRUSH. Judith has trained professionally for the last ten years in both Chicago and New York. She attended The Chicago Academy for the Arts – a private performing arts high school where she specialized in theatre. During her time in high school she was very active within the theatre community in the city. Her junior year she was apart of The Cindy Bandle Young Critics Program at The Goodman Theatre. The following summer she attended the General Theatre Studies Program for 6 weeks culminating in a devised theater piece called “Remixing The March.” Her senior year of high school she was invited to be a member of The Goodman Youth Arts Council. She also interned at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company for the entire 9 months of her senior year.
In 2014, she made the big move to New York City to pursue her BFA in Dramatic Arts with a focus in Acting at The New School for Drama. While earning her BFA, she has also been working hard towards her two minors at Parsons New School for Design in both Fashion Communications and Photography. She is expected to graduate with her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2018. Meanwhile she is working towards her Masters in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at The New School College of Performing Arts.
Jessica Ashleigh Pomeroy
Jessica Ashleigh Pomeroy is an NYC-Based Director/Producer, currently studying for her BFA at The New School for Drama in NYC.
Recent credits include: S trange Things Done (by Liam Broadhurst) – an NYC premiere, and Kid Simple: A Radio Play in the Flesh (Asst. to Sherri Eden Barber).
In January, Jessica will be interning with the PROTOTYPE Musical Theatre and Opera festival in NYC.
